impatient
so, wednesday is my scheduled due date and i'm hoping Dante will arrive before then. it's not looking so good though. i suppose i am just being impatient. everyone says that he will come when he is ready... but i want him out now!
if i don't have him by wednesday, my doctor says we can induce me.
i'm taking bets... will i have Dante before wednesday or will i be induced?

preparing for baby
i was a bit concerned about us having space for Dante when he arrives. we are living in a very small one bedroom house because that's what we can afford right now. fortunately, this house has a small "room" that sits right off the living room. we weren't sure what it is really supposed to be used for, but we figured out quickly that it is actually a great space for a little nursery. so, lately we have been working on turning it into one.

i am still in need of a dresser and other forms of storage which i should be ale to take care of in a couple weeks. i haven't been to concerned about storage yet since we still haven't gotten everything we need (another thing i hope to take care of in a couple of weeks). i have a lot of shopping and organizing to do. i found these cute little baskets at a dollar store. they were a lot smaller than i thought they'd be, but they are good for storing things like socks, shoes, bibs, binkies, and other small items... i also only have one shelf right now that i am storing diapers and wipes and stuff on. i think i will need another one soon!

we are still waiting on a crib, which my mom says she will get for us. so in the meantime, we set up our bassinet/playpen/changing table in the room. as soon as it was up and sitting there, i had another moment of "oh my god, we are really having a baby!" it's weird how i can feel him moving around in me all the time, but the things that make me realize how real it all is, isthe stuff i am getting for him. here is the bassinet courtesy of my sister Reyanna.

here are a few pics of some of my favorite things i have gotten so far:
i found this onesie at a tribal gas station in Elko. i got one for my niece when she was a baby so i thought it was appropriate to get one for Dante.

my sister Reyanna loves Halloween, so she found these Haloween clothes for us. it's hard to see, but the hoodie has skulls on it.
i decided the nursery theme is going to be monkeys. so i am getting a lot of clothes with monkeys on them, which are so cute!
and here are the monkey blankets. Sandra made the quilt on the left.

i've been meaning to start a blog so i can update everyone on what's going on with me and my new family, and here it is.
as i am sure you all know, Shaun and i are expecting our first baby December 1st. we are very excited. we are having a boy that we have already named Dante Jon Hollowbreast. obviously, Jon is Shaun's middle name and i chose Dante. i wish i had a cool story on how i came up with the name... but i honestly got it from playing the video game Devil May Cry. lol.
we are no longer living in Eureka, but are very happy back in Ely. we have a small place for now and have just been working and preparing for Dante.
i hope to post pictures and stuff as soon as i figure out how to do it!
